Ramsey County
Ramsey County is known for two large annual festivals in the Minnesota State Fair and the St. Paul Winter Carnival. For shopping enthusiasts, Rosedale Center, Maplewood Mall and Downtown Saint Paul, Grand Avenue (St. Paul) and Downtown White Bear Lake are popular retail areas. Ramsey County has nine regional parks, five county parks, an extensive trail network along the Mississippi and around area lakes, and three special use facilities within its perimeter. The county is also the home of more than a dozen colleges and universities.
Location:
East of the Mississippi River. It is one of the two central and most densely urbanized counties in Minnesota’s Greater MSP region.
